About the App Policies Tab

Use the main section of the Compliance > App Policies tab to create, manage, and view information about App Policies.

For specific creation activities, see Create App Policies.

Left Panel List of Existing App Policies

The left panel lists all the App Policies in the Organization. Custom App Policies are at the top and MTT-Managed Policies are below them.

The icons on policies indicate whether a policy is active, and the type of policy.

  • Green icon indicates an active policy, gray indicates inactive
  • Custom, user-defined policies
  • Appthority MTT-Managed policies

Tips for using the left panel:

  • Click New App Policies to create a new policy.
  • Expand or collapse the MTT-Managed title to see or hide the list.
  • Click a listing to see its configuration and information in the main section of the tab.

App Policy Definition

The main section of the tab shows either:

  • A template for creating a new App Policy. This is the default when you open the tab. See Create App Policies.
  • The definition of an existing App Policy, when you click on one in the left column.

Tips for viewing existing App Policies:

  • If a policy has a lot of TIs, click Expand All to see them all.
  • If the Assign Remediation Policy link is active, then the policy has not been assigned to an Appthority MTP Remediation Policy. (It could, however, be part of a remediation workflow through an EMM integration.) Otherwise, a link to the Remediation Policy displays.
  • From the Actions menu, you can rename, clone, deactivate, or delete the policy.
  • You can modify an existing Custom App Policy, but not an MTT-Managed App Policy.
