About the App Report

From the Apps tab list, click on an app to see detailed information in an App Report that you can also download in JSON or PDF format. App Reports are also available from the Appthority API. See the Knowledge Base article App Report Basics.

The app report consists of several sections with information about the app, including:

  • Risk Score: Appthority MTT assigns each app a Risk Score that reflects the potential risk, based on the highest-risk Threat Indicator detected during the app analysis process.
  • Analysis Status: The details of the analysis, including status and timestamps.
  • General Info: Summary information about the app, including the name of the developer.
  • Threats: All Appthority MTPThreat Indicators present in the app, whether active or inactive.
Tip: If enabled for the Org, evidence data provides another level of detail. Contact your CSM for more information.
  • Access: Hostnames, IP addresses, URLs, and emails the app may use.
  • Connections: Network IP connections and URLs accessed by the app. URLs include their reputation scores, and whether SSL was used or not. If known, the main purpose of the site is displayed, such as Web Advertisements.
  • Map: Shows the location of connections made by the app.

To download the App Report

From a report:

  • Click JSON to download the raw data of the app report in JSON format.
Tip: For automated workflows, use the Appthority API to access a report in JSON format.
  • Click PDF to download a PDF of the app report that can be shared with team members. This report looks like the App Report page display.
Tip: The PDF report from the button may be truncated due to size limitations if the report is very large, especially if evidence data is included in the report. If this is the case, try using the browser to save the HTML page as HTML or PDF.
