About the Device Policies Tab

Use the main section of the Compliance > Device Policies tab to create, manage, and view information about Device Policies.

For specific creation activities, see Create Device Policies.

Left Panel List of Existing Device Policies

The left panel lists all the Device Policies in the Organization. Custom Device Policies, if any, are at the top and MTT-Managed Device Policies are below them.

The icons on policies indicate whether a policy is active, and the type of policy.

  • Green icon indicates an active policy, gray indicates inactive
  • Custom Device Policies
  • MTT-Managed Device Policies

Tips for using the left column:

  • Click New Device Policies to create a new policy. See Create Device Policies.
  • Expand or collapse the MTT-Managed title to see or hide the list.
  • Click a listing to see its configuration and information in the main section of the tab.

Device Policy Definition

The main section of the tab shows either:

  • A template for creating a new Device Policy. This is the default when you open the tab. See Create Device Policies.
  • The definition of an existing Device Policy, when you click on one in the left column.

Tips for viewing existing Device Policies:

  • If a policy has a lot of TIs, click Expand All to see them all.
  • If the Assign Remediation Policy link is active, then the policy has not been assigned to an Appthority MTP Remediation Policy. Otherwise, a link to the Remediation Policy displays.
  • From the Actions menu you can rename, clone, deactivate, or delete the policy.
  • You can modify an existing Custom Device Policy, but not an MTT-Managed Device Policy.
